DANGEROUS BOYS IS OUT NOW AND YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IT!

EARLY PRAISE:

“Dangerous Boys is a taut, compelling thriller balanced on the razor’s edge of suspense. I could not put it down, and could not stop grinning wickedly as I raced through the pages.” — Leah Raeder, USA Today bestselling author of Unteachable

“Abigail Hass is a master at her craft! This is a special book and a special author. This is the kind of storytelling and writing that stick with you no matter how much time passes.” — The Book Geek Blog

“As with Dangerous Girls, the closing left me with a huge, admittedly rather twisted smile on my face. I don’t know how Haas manages to turn me into such a gleefully evil creature.” — Dahlia Adler, blogger.

“Dangerous Boys was an intense, psychological read which was full of suspense and drama,…Abigail Haas has a way of writing books which reel you in and keep you there, hooked and addicted until the very last page.” — Goodreads.com

BLURB FROM GOODREADS:

Three teens venture into the abandoned Monroe estate one night; hours later, only two emerge from the burning wreckage. Chloe drags one Reznick brother to safety, unconscious and bleeding; the other is left to burn, dead in the fire. But which brother survives? And is his death a tragic accident? Desperate self-defense? Or murder?

Chloe is the only one with the answers. As the fire rages, and police and parents demand the truth, she struggles to piece together the story of how they got there-a story of jealousy, twisted passion, and the darkness that lurks behind even the most beautiful of faces…

REVIEW:

“From the moment you’re born, people start folding you into neat pieces and tucking you inside a box of their own design. They dress you up in their own expectations, before you even have a chance to understand the constrictions of your fate. That box becomes so cozy and warm, you never really notice that you’re bent double, fighting for room to breathe.”

Things I did before reading Dangerous Boys:

  • Prepare my heart.
  • Engrave in my brain that it’s all just FICTION.
  • Ready a fluffy read beside me.

Things I did after reading Dangerous Boys:

  • Remember that it’s ALL JUST FICTION.
  • REMEMBER.
  • Hide my deep desire to get insides Abigail’s head.
  • HIDE ITTTT.
  • CONCEAL DON’T FEEL
  • DON’T LET IT SHOW
  • *HIDES ALL KNIVES*
  • *HIDES ALL POINTY OBJECTS*
  • WHAT IS ‘TRUST’

I have no words, Abigail Haas.

YOU ARE A GENIUS.

Dangerous Boys is like a Mental movie in my imagination. Raw, challenging and at times disturbing… I won’t give the plot away here, but this book is a “page turner” – I couldn’t put it down – the style of writing was clear and sharp, and the story well-woven.

Chloe. A girl that we can identify with. Full of dreams and hope and a strong girl for her age and situation. Ethan. A sweet and caring boy who manages to sweep Chloe off her feet. And Oliver, the boy who screams intense and yet, fascinating. He’s intriguing and totally alluring.

Just like at Dangerous Girls, Haas made characters that are completely complex and unpredictable. Thy’re strong, well developed and completely well thought. At first they’re like normal characters, trying to compell us with their stories… then they’ll slowly screw us up in the head. Asking if we are meant to feel sorry for them, or to be suspicious. There were times when I would have walked away from Chloe, because she’s doing some stuff that I’m really opposed of. Other times, I just wanted to hold her and protect her. All I can say is bravo, Abigail Haas!!

Dangerous Boys’ plot is just this: BRILLIANT. Utterly genius and exceptional! After I finished reading it I just sat there with my mouth open…. wondering how someone could come up with this story?! Haas writing is just plain dazzling and gripping! Persuading you to NOT STOP until you get some answers. If that’s her aim, then she did a good job. I just sat there, holding my heart and kindle while finishing the book in one sitting.

I HONESTLY don’t know what to say anymore. Dangerous Boys made me speechless and uncapable of stringing sentences. All I can say is this: DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THIS. SUPPORT THE AUTHOR. SUPPORT HER BOOK. In this genre shes swimming on, she’s one of the most  praiseworthy author out there. Dangerous Boys is a swiftly-paced novel, full of passion, suspense and intrigue. 50%mystery, 50% thriller, 100% mind blowing! In short: This book is gold!

ERMAGARD. This book is absolutely fantastic, isn’t it Paula? 😀 I am SOO glad you enjoyed it too! 🙂 I loved what a twisty, thrilling ride this was, and I completely agree that Abigail Haas is a writer to watch. I love how she combines psychology with the actual mystery elements so skillfully. Thanks for sharing Paula, and, as always, BRILLIANT review! <3 Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! <3

    1. I SERIOUSLY JUST WANT TO FANGIRL ALL OVER HER. SHE’S SUCH A GENIUS. Before I’ve read Dangerous Girls and Boys, I just know that I’ll love it! That’s how awesome this author is.

      Thanks, Zoe!! <3

  2. The first part with all the bullet poitns? PRETTY BLOODY MUCH. I don’t know what is up with this book and with this author. I ask myself everyday how come she’s so good at this? I tried making a mystery and it was a fail in all accounts. If she can write something as awesome as this and Dangerous Girls, I wonder what other fantastic psychological thrills will we get to see in her head? Not that I want to dissect her brain or whatever… I mean, I do, but… you know… okay, pretend you never read that. Haha.

But yeah, I really encourage supporting this author. It’s so sad that her first book wasn’t received warmly in sales. It was so awesome that I was surprised it only sold THAT much. Hopefully with the attention she’s getting now we’d help turn that around!
